MOOD DYSREGULATIONS

We live in a faced-paced, high-intensity and sometimes overwhelming society that requires… even demands… our constant attention to a whole variety of situations and circumstances. From family to work to school to finances, to memories, and beyond, our everyday life, at times, can negatively affect our thoughts, feelings – and moods!

Looking Forward

The constant looking forward with questions, like: “What’s going to happen with my health?” “How is this change going to work?” Will I have enough for rent?” and “What if we break up?” promotes constant pressure and worry. ANXIETY has become one of the leading factors contributing to poor health, both mentally and physically.

Shoulda…

The “woulda, coulda, shouldas” of life provide the breeding ground for the development of DEPRESSION. Looking back and wondering what you might have done differently… saying to yourself, “If only…” and thinking that you’ve failed in some way increase those feelings as the new weights of the world settle in on your shoulders. It can become quiet, lonely, desperate… and debilitating.

What good is anger?

In any person’s life,ANGER is a natural response… except when it is uncontrollable, impulsive, and explosive. At times it can linger and fester beneath the surface, only to arrive at inconvenient and unexpected times. It can also ruminate deep inside over long periods of time. The interesting hiccough with anger is that it can be helpful and effective at times and dangerous at others.

Fear can be crippling.

FEAR… of the unknown, of heights, of spiders, of horror movies… all perfectly legit for many people. Some people just don’t like the creepy crawlies hanging around the house!
What about those other feelings you have, though… fear of failure, or success, fear of relationships, of loneliness, or fear of death? These are levels of fear that can be impairing and possibly crippling to your life.

Do you have self-esteem?

So, what about SELF-ESTEEM? Well, easy to talk about when you have it. The value of healthy self-esteem is immeasurable!
A poor view of yourself can affect so many areas of your life, including relationships and work opportunities. A negative self-image coupled with a lack of confidence can result in anxiety, depression, anger, and fear in your life.
